The Wellington City Mission has been helping Wellingtonians in need for over 110 years. The Mission is a charitable trust, affiliated to the Anglican Church and prides itself on being open to anyone who needs assistance – regardless of their religious belief, age, ethnicity or social background.

Through their four Mission programmes – Families, Youth, Independence and Seniors – they assist a range of people living in Greater Wellington’s communities. The Mission also operates an elder care residential facility (Kemp Home and Hospital in Titahi Bay).

The Mission wishes to reclaim their history and for the first time in 20 years, there will be a single leader for the organisation, with the roles of City Missioner and CEO being brought back together as one.

The City Missioner is the public face of the organisation and will be responsible for providing both spiritual and operational leadership for the Wellington City Mission. The Board has developed a strategy framework that sets the direction into 2030 and are clear that the appointee will take ownership of the strategy as well as having the opportunity to be innovative and challenge the status quo.
