Finance Manager - The Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our national office in Wellington

The Opportunity
As the Finance Manager, you will be an important member of the Senior Leadership Team within our organisation reporting to the Assembly Executive Secretary (AES). This is a hands-on role working with our small finance team in administering and reporting on financial, payroll, taxes and administration matters. You will prepare our annual financial statements, ensuring all financial and charitable compliance matters are attended to. You will work with external and internal parties such as our auditors, Charities Services, Church governance bodies and affiliated organisations, including providing accounting advice and assistance to our parishes and presbyteries. As well as being a competent accounting professional, you will have the opportunity to exercise wider management skills. Your additional tasks could include oversight or management of IT, HR, policy development and compliance, Health and Safety and judicial matters.
