Dr. Charles E. North joined the Canton Villages Mission as a Medical Evangelist in 1928 after having served at the Welsh Presbyterian Mission Hospital at Shilling, Assam. He returned to New Zealand in 1931 due to his health. He was married to Agnes E Merrington.
