This file contains two agreements for purchase of land at Fong Chuen, Canton, and a deed of perpetual lease for land at Sha Luet, Fa District.
The purchase agreements relate to land purchased from Dr. Charles C. Selden of the American Presbyterian Mission, Canton for the use of the New Zealand Presbyterian Mission at Fong Chuen. Documents signed by both parties incl. US Consul-General includes British and US consular service duty postage stamps (1905, 1908).
The deed of perpetual lease relates to land purchased
at Sha Luet and includes document in Cantonese text, British Consular Stamp
Duty, printed seals of provincial treasurer of Kwantung and Hua Hsien Magistrate
and official British Consular English Translation (1915).
