Dr John K Brown was a New Zealand  Doctor from Gore who was supplied by C.O.R.S.O. (NZ Council for Relief Services Overseas) to work at Kong Chuen Hospital, arriving on the 17th December 1947. He became ill at the end of that month with encephalitis and died at Kong Chuen on the 12th January 1948.
