General Assembly 2010 endorsed action against New Zealand’s drinking culture. We now have the chance to have our say on the Government’s proposed alcohol law changes, with a deadline for submissions to the select committee of 1 February 2011. Alcohol Action New Zealand has developed a summarised digest version of the Bill. This includes their submission outline, based on the 5+ Solution, which you may find helpful in working on your own personal submission. The more people make submissions, the more the Government will listen. Submissions can be easy and quick, or long and personal. We will be making a submission on behalf of the Church; but we strongly encourage you to make an individual submission, and to encourage others to do the same.
