The latest edition of Spanz is now available online.
In this issue we hear the stories of three ministers making a difference as prison chaplains. We rejoice in the Queen’s honour awarded to former Moderator, the Very Rev Pamela Tankersley, and the appointment of Rev Wayne Te Kaawa as Otago University’s first Maori chaplain. We hear how faith is part of new cabinet minister, Rev David Clark’s, role as a politician. We are inspired by outreach stories from around New Zealand including a Te Awamutu parish’s work supporting grandparents raising grandchildren; Wellington’s St John’s in the City’s work helping refugees settle in the capital; and a Tauranga’s congregation’s efforts to bring locals together over music and poetry. We celebrate with St Paul’s Trinity Pacific as they move into their new building, and meet the Harrays who are embarking on a long-term mission appointment in Myanmar.
