This weekend Spanz magazine was awarded the 2016 Australasian Religious Press Association (ARPA) Silver Award for 'Best Written News Story', for a story on the Dingwall Trust: “Trust supports youth transition to independence” (Spanz, summer 2015).
The ARPA judges commented: “A topical issue quoting primary sources and providing supporting data and information placing the story within the local context and with wider impacts. The type of news story that can change social policy”
ARPA has an Australasian membership of 82 publications. Tthey range from small magazines to large-circulation newspapers, from denominational monthlies to independent weeklies, with publishers ranging from dioceses and synods to mission bodies.
The Australasian Religious Press Association, founded in 1960, embraces Christian publications and related agencies in Australia and New Zealand.
