We have thought too much of ourselves and not enough of others:

We have not lived as Christ has called us to do.

God freely forgives all who are truly sorry and put their trust afresh in Christ.
Therefore forgive others and forgive yourself.

THE GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
The Lord is here
God's spirit is with us
Lift up your hearts
We lift them to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God
It is right to give God thanks and praise.
It is indeed right, always and everywhere, to give thanks to you, the true and living God through Jesus Christ our Lord. You are the source of life for all creation and you made us in your own image; your love enfolds all you have made.
When we turned away from you, you called us back to yourself and gave your only Son to share our human nature. He offered his life to you in perfect obedience and trust, and by his death he has delivered us from our sins, brought us new life and reconciled us to you, our loving God.
You raised him to life triumphant over death, and exalted him to your right hand on high where he lives forever to intercede for us, our hope and our glory.
Through him you have sent us your life-giving Spirit, that in the Spirit's power we might be your holy people.
Therefore, joining with the heavenly chorus, with prophets, apostles and martyrs, and with all those in every generation who have looked to you in hope, we proclaim your great and glorious name saying:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory, hosanna in the highest.
To you indeed be glory, almighty God, because on the night before he died, your Son Jesus Christ took bread and when he had given you thanks, he broke it, gave it to his disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me".
After supper, he took the cup; when he had given you thanks, he gave it to them, and said; "Drink this, all of you. This is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this as often as you drink it, to remember me".

Therefore, loving God, send your Holy Spirit upon us and our celebration,
that we may be fed with the body and blood of Christ, and be
filled with your life and goodness.
Unite us in Christ and give us your peace.
Breaking the Bread and offering the Cup
The Bread we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.
The Cup we take is a sharing in the blood of Christ.
We who are many are one body,
for we all share the one bread.
Here are bread and wine;
the gifts of God for the people of God.
May we who share these gifts,
be found in Christ and Christ in us.

Most gracious God, we give you thanks and praise, for what you have given us and for what you have promised us in this meal.
You have made us one with all your people in heaven and on earth.
You have fed us with the bread of life, and renewed us for your service.
May we who share Christ's body live his risen life;
we who drink his cup bring life to others.
We whom the spirit enlightens give light to the world.
Keep us firm in the hope you have set before us so we and all your children shall be free and the whole earth live to praise your name.
Send us out in the power of your spirit to live and work to
your praise and glory. Amen.
